Art Glass Vase with Striking Applied Decoration

Description

This is a most unique and striking art glass creation.  Measuring approximately 10-inches tall, this frosted, or satin-finished vase has a Pilsner glass shape which is tall, slender and tapered at the top like a trumpet.  The body of the vase displays a beautiful blue and white softly-swirled design and it appears to be inserted into the white frosted base.  Applied to and surrounding the exterior of the vase is a free-form glass sculpture that has an unusual metal-like look.  Unfortunately this extraordinary piece of art is unmarked.  Despite being very fragile this vase appears to be in very good condition with only a few flaws.  The base shows signs of wear to the satin finish in a few areas and there are also some marks where the body of the vase meets the base.  They look like scratches but I think they are part of the glass coloration.  There is also a bubble-like mark near the rim of the vase that looks like a flaw but I think it is also part of the glass formation.  Regardless, there are no chips, cracks, discolorations or any other evidence of damage.  This is a truly magnificent glass creation, a one-of-a-kind piece of art!
