Fantastic One of a kind Bentwood double painted box in cedar by David boxley b.1952 .The Double Bentwood box is 21" Long x 8" Wide x 9" Deep.
Its A father & son collaboration in the experimental of bending painting.
Dated 2003 with interior & exterior u-form designs.
Signed and dated 2003 on the bottom and also has titled
"What was I thinking ?"
A one of a kind study on bending and 2-D (2 dimensional) design, a father-son collaboration, signed in pencil.
David Boxley is nationally respected Tsimshian artist who's work can be found around the world in museums to leading private collections
This box is very impressive box and truly unique, it's poly-chrome painted bent cedar.
David Boxley is easy to find on the web for more information on this artist and his art.
I believe this piece passed though Quintana Gallery of Portland , Or.
Overall its in excellent condition. Just some lite surface marks on the paint can be seen in the photo's.
