    Description

Great replica piece from the Jewish museum. Silverplated copy of a menorah in the Jewish Museum in New York. Series of replicas and issued in small editions. One of the rarest. Never seen this replica before. It is a copy of a Frankfurt type lamp with a standing female figure likely representative of Judith. Simplified version of earlier lamps mid 17th to 18th century. It has three unusual legs that end in scrolls as feet. The original lamp featured in the book entitled "Five Centuries of Hanukah Lamps from the Jewish Museum." By Susan Brownstein. It appears that the sword the figure is holding is now missing. Otherwise it is in very nice condition. It needs a polishing. May have some using silverplate. Height 12 inches. Width 9.75 inches. Can be used with Hannukah candles. Heavy weight of 33.1 ounces. A great collectors item and beautiful example of a rare menorah.
Good luck, please check out my other great Judaica pieces on my eBay store. Thanks!
